What to Pursue? Stop Asking Me That!

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

Assalamualaikum, and yeay! I'm writing again. I don't know why, but I just feel excited to write (although no one read my blog). You know how it feels when there's an idea or issues struck into your brain and the effectors send the impulses to the finger to elaborate them here, in my blog.

It's wonderful.

So, last week I went to Aussie. And yeah, it was fun and gave me a whole new experience because I never went to developed country like Aussie before.

Wait, is Aussie a developed country? Not sure bout that, I think so. It's a First World country, so basically, it's a developed country, ahah!

Never mind. However, I'm not going to talk about the places we went to or something like that.

It's just that I had a conversation with an American tourist there.

"Ooo, WOW!" Oh yeah, it was awesome. I never had a conversation with any foreigners before so it was, a little awkward at first. I met this lady in her 50s at a bus at the Blue Mountains and it went like this...

Me: So, where are you from?
Her: (showed her tag) US, what about you?
Me: Malaysia, have you been there?
Her: No, but I've been to Singapore. They're close to each other right?
Me: Yeah, they're really close to each other.

(silence)(my parents interrupt)

Her: Are you still in school?
Me: Yeah
Her: In which grade?
Me: Umm, I'm in Form 5... umm(how hould I explain it, US have different kind of grading with Malaysia)              Ok, in Malaysia, there are 2 types of.... (bla, bla, bla)
Her: Oooh, so you're in the Senior year then. You know in US...(bla, bla, bla)
Me: Ooh..

And here comes the 'soalan cepumas'

Her: So, what are you planning to do after you finish school?
Me: Mmm, I'm planning to enter college.

Another 'soalan cepumas'!

Her: Yeah, of course. What do you decide to pursue?
Me: Mmm, (I don't know! but just blurted out..) Engineering.....or IT. (Haha, but I do have interest in IT             and a little in Engineering)
Her: Oh, that's nice. Those...

My father interrupted, "You didn't tell me that"

Me: (sengih, hehe, because I still didn't decide yet actually)

Sebenarnya panjang lagi tapi sampai situ je lah. She even asked me to where do I want to continue my study and etc.

I keep hearing this kind of question, it just bother me somehow. Even an Ameican stranger asked me that.

The main point here is, I'm still not sure of what I'm going to do. I just don't.

The main focus right now for me is to STUDY for SPM, then decide. I've a lot of time to think about it after SPM right. So, no worries.

So please, stop asking me that question. I'm no mad. I'm WARNING you all.

Allah...

I just had a bad week, last week.

  1. I've been anticipating for MUSLEH competition next week since the holiday! BUT, my hopes were crushed and crumpled. We couldn't participate it because of some reasons. School stuff.
  2. And then at the same day, I got my Physics paper which we've been waiting for so long to get and..... it's really hard to smile after that. It was TERRIBLE! My friend tried to cheer me up and yeah, I forced myself to smile (and I kept singing Bad Day)
  3. Also, in that week, I felt ignored by my friends. I don't know whether it's just me being too sensitive OR they really do ignore me.

Which reminded me of my old friends, already-move-to-other-school friends and my FAMILY.

I really want to call my mother badly but.... I'm afraid I'll cry and don't really know what to say. (I don't want her to find out my Physics just yet)

And next week, I, oops, I mean WE have to take over the school's reign from the Form 5s. And i have to prepare myself and brace my self for the job.

It was a bad week with the fact that my birthday was just around the corner (22nd June, Sat)

I almost cried because all of this, BUT then I tell myself, "Why should I cry? This is nothing!"

Allah is probably trying to test me right now.

I also realized that I always forget Him.

Selangkah ku pergi dari Mu, selangkah Kau dekat padaku.

Selangkah ku padaMu, seribu langkah kau pada ku.

Malunya aku...

2013 Kickstart

Assalamulaikum! It's been about 2 weeks of 2013. Wow, so fast yeah! And I'm already in my Form 4. You know what, although SPM is still like far away but I can feel the tense, the pressure already. Well, form 4 is the time when you'll start to get busy. No matter what. Unless if you're some kind of ignorant or just don't want to get involved with even a slight stuff.

And the teachers are, okay je. BUT! There's one problem. Most of the teachers would probably teach us halfway. Why? Because some of them are retiring. Some will continue their studies at the universities and few will soon have babies!

Why!? Why now!? Why us? Well, we can't stop them, do we? They have their life!

I have to focus this year. No play-play! There's no such thing as honeymoon year. Even if there's one, it happenes after you get married.

By the way, I got another nephew called Ilyas! Two nephews in a year. Wow! Congrats Kak Izzah!

Egypt To Me

So, a few weeks ago, I went to visit my brother at Alexandria, Egypt. Well, I'm not gonna tell you about where we go, what we do. I just gonna tell you about what is Egypt to me, how I feel after visiting it.

At first, I expect Egypt as a developing country better than Indonesia, the place maybe gonna be kinda dirty. And I also expect the Egyptians themselves are probably rough but kind and friendly to us.

But, I was wrong. The dirtiness and highway jam are worse than Jakarta. Rubbish everywhere it looks like slums except at the at the city where the rich people live, of course. And they are very rough one. But if there are some of them who are kind, they are very, very kind. Oh, what was Hosni Mubarak doing all this time to you, Egypt?

Not all the Egyptian Muslimah are well-covered. They're actually very 'fashionable'. Red blouse, blue tight jeans and red shawl. White inner, green sweater, green floral shawl, tight black jeans and nice furry boots. Wow.

And it's a bit hard to differentiate the Muslims and the Christians here. There are Christians who also wear shawl like the Muslims. They also say Insha-Allah and Wa-Allahi when they talk because it's their language you know. And the shawls are also is their culture.

While I was in Egypt, there are still 'muzaharat' a.k.a demonstration where they gather and talk and ban and sometimes doing chaos. Yeah, it still happen because the Pro-Mubarak and whoever are banning Mursi, the current Egypt president. And macam-macamlah kesnya. Well, it's not really teruk sangat. Just maybe, causing jam. Come on, you all. Mubarak is nothing anymore. Mursi is a nice guy and try to help you all. Come on-lah.

The jam, oh yes. Especially in Cairo when the 'dustur' aka 'perlembagaan' baru cannot be carried and implemented as there are less vote for it to be implemented and used. So, they don't have, easy to say, rules yet. So, gosh the roads were so, so congested with cars and people crossing the roads calmly like there are no cars. One person almost stuck between two cars. But she just stay cool..

But after venturing Egypt for two weeks, I see Egypt has a lot of potential to rise again. Under the new reign of Mursi, Egypt can rise as a developed country. I know that, I believed that.

And here are are some of our pictures in Egypt!

I'm an Aunt!

Just back from hostel!!

Pagi tadi kawad. So, sekarang kita berehat sebentar bersama FB dan Blogger.
Menang? Not really~

4th place from 5 teams. Ok lah tu kan~
But my cousin said," Perempuan kawad? Kelakarlah."
Suka hati dialah. He never saw me marching. So, what so funny, ha!

And, I felt very excited to go home! Because...I wanna see my sister's baby! Her first child and my first nephew! Born last week~

When I saw him, for the first time, with my kawad uniform, "Waaa~ so cute~"

Hi there!

His name is Iliyyin Zaidan! At first I heard my mother said, "Ili Zaidan.."

"Ili?", sounds like a girl's name.

 "Iliyyin." my mother correct me.

Ooooo. What a nice and unique name. I wonder what will people call him when he grown up?

Iliyyin? Too hard to call.
Zaidan? Sounds right to me.
Ili? Please don't..
Liyyin? -_-' Bolehla~
Zaidan pun dah ok.

And what will he call me?

Auntie?
Mak cik?
Mak Teh?

.....Now I realize that I'm getting old...

It's okay! Everyone's getting old! Including YOU!

And welcome, Iliyyin Zaidan, to our family~ Alhamdulillah~

So that's all for now!

Akhirnya!!

Akhirnya!! Ku temui jua produk untuk KK Sejarah! Dah interview, ambil gambar dan apa-apa je lah yang patut dibuat. Credits to K.Izzah and her friend, K. Hamidah Khairiyyah (I guess that's how her name spelled).

By the way, I also bought the product. It's something to do with art stuff.

Tadaa~ it is still in process, not touched up yet. It's actually made of Plaster of Paris. We just have to paint it. There are lots of other characters. Keroppi, Naruto, Hello Kitty and bla bla...

So cute~ Angry Birds, Doraemon meeting it's white doppelganger.

I paint it with my brother. Not so pretty-lah but satisfying for a beginner. But I didn't take the picture of the result, after being touched up and glossed. Malaslah...

Well, if you're interested, you can go to Whoa! Clubhouse at Space U8, Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam. The mall is still new, so it's a bit lonely. The shop is so cute, anyone can come. You can even paint there.

That's all it is. Need to continue my work~ Wassalam

Appreciate~

It have been almost a month. Lots of interesting things happened at the school. My hands just can't bear it, to blog about it. Although it means nothing.

Merentas desa, I didn't run, I'm a QM, a quartermaster. Some people call it Quli Maahad. Haha.

My spectacles. It somehow broke because of my roughness. And now I.....and my father, have a new spectacles!

Daurah Ilmiah. A three days programme for PMR students during holiday. I'm facing PMR this year!

Exam. I had an exam. Kinda hard. Just hope for the best.

Probably just that....but that's not all I wanna tell.

I still remember having a debate training about THW abolish boarding school in Malaysia. And we debate and debate and it end up a bit like a fight between 'budak luar' and 'budak asrama'. To be more honest, it is so unmatured, really.

I'm from the goverment side, supporting the motion. One of the points that we point was about affections. If we don't live in boarding school, we can stay with our family and you will feel more loved and secure. And that will help the students to bla, bla, bla..

At the end, our tutor, Kak Laila commented about that point. She said if we live at home, we will face our family everyday and we will feel boring but if we stay at the hostel we will actually appreciate our family more and the affections will be felt more. She's so true!

Cuba bayangkan kalau kita duduk kat rumah. Setiap hari kita menghadap mak ayah, adik kita. Lama-lama rasa bosan kan? Kalau duduk kat asrama, mesti kita rasa rindu. Bila kita dapat jumpa mak ayah kita, kita happy sangat-sangat, kan?

Well, the point is, bila seseorang tu ada dengan kita, kita tak menghargai pun, tapi bila dah berjauhan barulah kita nak menghargai orang tu. (I'm not talking about couples!) What we already have is actually more precious than what we wish for.
Just appreciate what Allah already gave you.

What I've learned~

New Year 2012 is coming~
That means the holiday is about to over, again...
School session is about to start, again..
And a few months after this, you'll see me posting almost the same thing like I've posted last year, again..
Like exams, kawad and such.

And everything goes again and again and, again~
And now I kinda realize how boring life is....
But I've learned a lot of things this year. Lots of new stuff~
Not just from the school, but also from my daily life and home..

Tahun 2011.
Awal tahun lagi, aku dah diberi 'pengajaran'.
  1. Jatuh basikal. Tu lah, lain kali jangan berani-berani bawa orang kalau tak boleh. Luka di muka, memang tak boleh lupa (macam pantun lah)
  2. Kakak kahwin. Sesuatu perkara yang tidak pernah dialami sebelum ini. Dua orang pulak tu. Mesti belajar macam-macam. So banyak and macam-macam, malas nak type.
  3. Abang pergi study Mesir. Mmmm... What have I learn from this? Oh, yes! I learned to be the next boss in the house, haha~kinda...
  4. Debate. I've learned to be an English debater. I hope I can be one, for real. Insya-Allah...
  5. Masak? Adalah sikit-sikit. But I'm proud of it!

Dan macam-macam lagi....

Next year, 2012. Some people thought that 2012 is the year of doom, the end~. Probably for me too because I will take the PMR examination next year. That is, quite, the DOOM. Yeah, but, it's not the end! It's the kick-start for a better me~to Allah, to my parents and to everyone around me.

Oh my, it felt like I've just knew what are integers yesterday and now, I already need to boost myself for the PMR preparations! Ganbatte! Iffah, I know you can do it!

So, that's all for now. Meet again, next year!

Pengecut di Times Square

Siapa pengecut tu?
That's me!

Begini kisahnya....
Yesterday, I went to Times Square Theme Park. Best? Bolehla..

But I don't play in one ride that we call it roller coaster with that loop thing.
It so scary-lah.
And phobia...takut tudung tertanggal macam hari tu.

Well, Ummi dah kasi pin lebih, kasi tak tanggal....but still, I don't want to ride it.
Ok, I know I'm such a coward...but...benda dah berlalu, nak buat macam mana kan.
You can't force me to do it anymore.
Tak dosa kan kalau tak naik pun...

Yes, I am a coward!
And I know that very well...
But, may Allah get rid of my fear to everything (especially to such insignificant stuff) except to Him~

These are My Friends.....and my Brother! - Part 4

ADIB AFIFI
This is my brother, Adib. He's 18 and currently studying medic at Alexandria, Egypt. Satu-satunya abang yang saya ada tapi jarang benar sembang dengan dia (atau tak pernah). Tahu cerita dia dekat blog je walaupun duduk satu rumah. Waktu kecik-kecik dulu suka buli, suruh ambik jambu, mangga, ejek orang (buli ke tu?). Tapi bila dah masuk asrama, senyap je, baik je....which makes my younger brother wondering, what's wrong with him. Lepas habis sekolah, dia jadi 'friendly' sikit dengan adik2 nya ini. I'm not so close to him but I know that he's a cool but sensitive person for a few reasons. He's unique. Abang Adib! Selamat belajar dan jaga diri elok2 kat sana! We all miss you~

NURUL HIDAYAH
Yang ini pulak Hidayah, atau pun kami panggil dia DJ. We're in the same batch. She's actually a talkative person and sometimes always babbling to her friends. Ada yang panggil dia 'nenek' tapi dia ni ceria dan cute. Stay cute DJ!

MAZIAH PUAT
Maziah yang di kanan ye! My best friend since primary school. A 'gila'2 type and quite talkative. Jangan main-main sama dia. Suka berdebat dengan orang dan biasanya dia yang menang. Pandai pulak tu. I always compete with her in the class. Sometimes she wins, sometimes it's me. Kadang-kadang gaduh tapi gaduh benda yang tidak matang. Hehehe. But still we're friends forever! ^.^

Just another part left! Soon!

A Trip in Beijing

Last Deevapali holiday (yeah, right before the examination week) I've been to Beijing with my mother and my brother for 6 days~! And it's autumn season which means it's very very, seriously cold. I don't really feel like typing. So, as usual, let the pictures tell the story!

At the Tian'anMen Square, it's freaking cold and hazy

One of the door in the Forbidden City. It's humongous! There are about 99 of that golden thing on the door. Why 99? It's the symbol of luck for the Chinese.
It's this thick! It's wood that is covered with metal.

"Inilah Forbidden City"

Do you know which one is male and which one is female? The lion on the top is the female because you can see that under it's paw is her young. While the lion in the picture below is a male. But I'm just wondering why the female lion step it's own young...

Mari makan~!

In the bus....shivering...

In the silk factory, and what I'm holding is the 'kepompong ulat sutera'

Slurping tea..tak sedap~

The shadow of my brother and I in the sunny morning~
"Saya meramalkan bahawa esok, esok raya! Huhu"
At the Great Wall of China!

I'm climbing!! I'm trying hard! The staircase are humongous.
Finally! We've reached the top! And this picture shows how much we've climbed.
An artist that use his fingerprints and nail to do his masterpiece. Subhanallah~

Ni pulak guna pahat. Cantik~

At the Summer Palace. It's a very pretty place.
You know what, I hate this Minnie Mouse. Why? I just say hi and suddenly she pulled me to her side. And she won't let me go untill my mother took our picture. Right after that, she let me go and suddenly asked for money. CONNER!
I'm flying!

Our tour group

Ambik gambar dengan Beijing Olympic Stadium. Cantik~

In the bullet train.

Me and the bullet train. It's very fast. We can reach the destination that suppose to take 2 hours by car in less than 30 minutes!

This is our tour guide, Amy!

Dah penatla...sejuk ni~~ Assalamualaikum!
Something about China

Wow! Macam mana nak ingat semuanya?
  • Cuti umum mereka adalah panjang tak macam kita. Contohnya, Hari Pekerja kita cuti sehari je tapi diorang cuti seminggu! (Waa...that's my dream....hampir setiap minggu boleh kot kalau macam tu)
  • Beijing yang merupakan ibu negeri China sendiri mempunyai lebih 17 juta penduduk...(Woww, lebih kurang macam Malaysia tu~)
